WebFeb 2, 2024 · Rebooted -> Still grey. I found out that if I close Windows Desktop Manager (dwm.exe) from task manager, it fixes the problem, but comes back after a reboot. I've tried: 1) sfc scannow 2) dism repair 3) renaming dwm.exe (don't do this by the way, or it won't boot properly and you'll have to rename it back through command prompt). Windows detects the monitor, as I can move my mouse to it, but nothing will display on the monitor, just a grey screen. I've tried a HDMI, DP cable, everything. My only conclusion now is that the monitor is broken, which I hope isn't the case.
